More aspen stands from Highland Perthshire

This is remnant 379 just north of Old Struan near Blair Atholl, an aspen dominated wood of 1- 2 ha in extent, probably the best stand we have seen here to date. The amenity value of aspen woods is very high. This wood is heavily grazed, but despite this, the age classes of trees present is very healthy, and for the first time, we found a good number of standing dead aspens in HP.
