On the road to Aberargie........


This record has been submitted by David Summers, Fisheries Director of Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board, and is just to the south of Perth. These trees are almost certainly aspen, but there is a possibility that they are some sort of hybrid, or probably planted. Although they may well be genuine Scottish aspen, from the point of view of collecting material for propogation, they would be considered high risk, given there geographical location, and the fact they are right beside a road. It is important to have a critical mind when evaluating aspen trees.........
