Aspen in the Monadhliaths

The Boleskine environmental group have recorded almost 50 aspen stands along the River Fechlin, from the point where it enters Loch Ness (just above sea-level) to high in the hills at 530 metres. Almost all these stands are on steep slopes, crags and gorges.
