Aspen hunting on the Earn and the Almond

The aspen here is slightly to the left and above off centre, the two slightly taller, ligther coloured trees. This was an aspen hunt two weeks ago, finding an additional 19 clones in the upper Earn, Loch Tay side and the Almond catchment. The photo above was taken in the Sma Glen, which runs between Aberfeldy and Crieff, and is in the catchment of the Almond. There were no records in the Almond or the Earn before this. Now we know that a good selection of genetic material is present there.
