These two photos were submitted by Donnie Broad, estate manager at Pitcastle Estate/ Glen Lochay Estate in Highland Perthshire. This is another new HP record, just above the loch at Pitcastle, and illustrates very nicely how it is possible to tap in to local knowledge about distribution of the species.
Donnie is looking for aspen to add to his 2000 acre native woodland planting scheme in Glen Lochay.....the Mamlorn Project, and we will do what we can to help him out wth appropriate locally sourced trees.
