We've been collecting aspen roots from around Scotland, including some remote spots on the west coast. Decided that the easiest way to make one collection was by sea, which was a good excuse to break out the kayak on a sunny morning. Most of the equipment needed for the collection fitted in the front hatch, except for the spade, which went on the rear deck with the spare paddle.
