These airpots have holes in the sides, and the idea is that aspen roots emerging from them can be harvested for propogation...potentially a very efficient manner of collecting extra vegetative material. The process was established in Finland.
These pots are a bit of an intelligence test/ Krypton factor exercise to put together. The seed orchard trees are planted in the big pots.
