These are the seed orchard trees inside the new polytunnel at Kincraig. The idea is that they might start to flower and seed if they are sufficiently stressed. It is very much an experimental procedure, but it does work with other species so fingers are very much crossed here. If it works, the amount of aspen seed that can produced in Scotland will multiply many times. Some spare air-pots are stacked up in the middle here.
