Angus Glens Aspen Tour

There follows some photos of a 320 mile aspen tour through the Angus Glens, covering Strathardle, Glen Prosen, Glen Clova, Glen Esk, Glen Isla and the bottom end of Glenshee. We only had 14 records in the National database from the Angus Glens, but found another 28 on the way around, notably a large number of remnants in Glenesk. Given that all these remnants were located from the roadside, there must surely be many, many more stands present. These finds are significant because we now know that we can put together a really good collection of genetic material from the Angus Glens, when before it looked as though we might not have enough clones to get a good choice from.
