There were 4 mature trees plus about 120 established suckers at this location. A re-alignment of a farm fence has allowed these suckers to get away and preserve the future of this stand for the forseeable future.
A good number (most) of the stands located today have a new generation secured and are not at threat of dying away any time soon.
