The blue dots on this map are effectively the national database of the species, collated by Rick Worrell from Aberfeldy.
The red dots are additional aspen records located during our recent survey in the western catchments of the Tay, and it is anticipated that initiatives and greater awareness in other areas will quickly increase our overall knowledge of the distribution of the species. Aspen records tend to be found in areas where there are people who ae interested in the species.......!!
