The Highland Aspen Group (HAG) had its' AGM in Killiecrankie today, with two site visits, this one to Kindrochet wood at Old Struan on Atholl Estate.
Aberfeldy woodland consultant Rick Worrell gave a very informative talk on seeding and reproduction of aspen, based on his research and that of others following the last really good flowering year in 1996.
Thanks to everyone who came along to Highland Perthshire today, some from far afield. Thanks to Atholl Estate for permission to visit this area, to Ann Philips for opening up Killiecrankie village hall for us, to all those who organized the day and to Rick Worrell for his excellent talk.
